Katahdin (Maine) The highest peak in Maine, situated in Baxter State Park. The northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.
Mt. Washington (New Hampshire) With famously erratic weather, this tallest peak in Northeast US at 6,288ft holds the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at the Earth's surface, at 231 mph.
Cannon Cliff (New Hampshire) Located within within Franconia Notch State Park, known for both its technical rock & ice climbing.
Lake Willoughby (Vermont) This glacial area provides intense lake-side climbing.
Northern Cascades (Washington) The Cascades are most notable for their dramatic scenery and challenging mountaineering,resulting from their steep, rugged geography. All of the peaks but two volcanos are under 10,000 feet in elevation.
Red Rocks (Nevada) Easily seen from the Las Vegas Strip, this climbing mecca boasts sandstone walls up to 3,000 feet.
Tetons (Wyoming)
This north-south range on the Wyoming side of the state's border with Idaho, just south of Yellowstone National Park hosts two principal summits: the Grand Teton at 13,772 ft, and Mount Owen at 12,928 feet.
Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado)
Located north-west of Boulder, Colorado in the Colorado Rockies, Rocky Mountain National Park includes the Continental Divide and the headwaters of the Colorado River in its land area.
Acadia National Park (Maine)
Preserving much of Mount Desert Island off the Atlantic coast of Maine, Acadia includes mountains, an ocean shoreline, woodlands, and lakes and provides steep granite rock climbing.
Shawangunks (New York)
Extending from the northernmost point of New Jersey to the Catskill Mountains, this ridge is most notably one of the major rock climbing areas of North America, known as the "Gunks".
High Sierra (California) Home of Yosemite climbing, hiking, mountaineering.

Ecuador La Sierra ("the highlands") is the high-altitude belt running north to south along the center of the country, its mountainous terrain dominated by the Andes mountain range.
Mexico With over dozens of climbing areas, including
Baja California Norte, Ciudad de México, Estado de México, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Mexico is a great climbing destination.
