• April 2011: Silas received his IFMGA / UIAGM guide certification! Considered the PhD of mountain guiding, IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guides) status allows recipients to guide in Europe, Canada and around the world. There are fewer than 80 people in the US that hold this certification. Come ski the Haute route, climb Italian limestone, or swing your ice tools into Canadian ice with Silas!

• Summer 2009: Silas guided the Grand Teton 7 times, Mt. Moran, and completed a one-day Cathedral Traverse in the Tetons, while working with Exum.
• January 2009: Silas successfully guided Carstenz Pyramid – one of the 7 summits – in Papua New Guinea with Alpine Endeavors.
• The TIMES UNION (Albany, NY) features an article on Silas Rossi and Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School, where Silas on guided the summer of 2008. (Bar Harbor, ME). • PETZL awards Silas Rossi the AMGA Petzl Scholarship (March 2008) for his participation in the AMGA Alpine Guide Exam in the fall of 2008.
• Silas passed the AIARE (American Institute for Avalanch Research and Education) Level III Course! (March 2008). The course
took place in Silverton, CO in the heart of the San Juan mountains.
• Silas is on the cover of the BOSTON GLOBE (Feb. 24th, 2008)as part of a story on New Hampshire’s wilderness rescue laws.
